A Parent

The person your heart keeps returning to is the one who raised you. That's one of the heaviest names to forgive, because they shaped how you see yourself before you got a say. Forgiving them doesn't mean what happened was fine. It means you stop letting their old voice narrate your today. You can honor a parent and still hand God the wound they left.
