The wound you're carrying came from a place that was supposed to be safe, and that's a particular kind of pain. When trust is broken by people who spoke for God, it can feel like God broke it too. He didn't. He grieved it with you. Forgiving them is not the same as going back or pretending it didn't matter. It's refusing to let their failure keep you from the One they misrepresented.
