You're in the cave: hidden, worn down, sure that no one is coming for you. David wrote some of his most honest words from exactly there. He told God he felt utterly alone, that no one cared for his soul, and then he chose to make God his refuge anyway. The cave isn't where God lost you. It's where He's keeping you.
