You've gotten really good at playing the part: the right words, the right face, the expected spiritual answer. It works, but it's lonely, because nobody is actually meeting you. God isn't asking for the polished version. He already knows the unscripted you, the doubts and the off days, and He wants that person, not the role. You can lay the act down. The relationship you're hungry for starts the moment you stop performing for it.
